Default Pre- Spring Training

There may be snow, even in big amounts, in some parts of the country. But it is warm in Jupiter, and some of the Cardinals pitchers are already in town. Their anxiety is contagious.

Jupiter, We Are Here!!!

JUPITER, Fla. — Roger Dean Stadium was open for business Friday. Sort of. More than a week before pitchers and catchers officially report to Cardinals spring training, pitchers Kyle McClellan, Jason Motte and Adam Ottavino were on campus to work out and do some light tossing. Pitching coach Dave Duncan is expected to arrive next weekend. Bullpen coach Marty Mason, who recently underwent double knee replacement surgery, will likely show well before Feb. 17 report date as well. Cy Young Award third-place finisher Adam Wainwright may pull into camp as soon as Monday.

Ouch that has to hurt. Single is bad enough, but double, wow.

Very funny. One of my members in Akron had to have both done since his knees had bowed out so bad because there was no cartilage to hold them together. He grew 2".

I don't suppose Marty will do any catching or pitching this spring or the first half of the year.

Sorry, Guess you equate that with saying "Hi, Jack" in an airport.

As long as it's not a movie flight with a really bad movie on it, otherwise you might be tempted to say, "Not that bomb!"

Good to see McClellan dropped a few pounds and is raring to compete for the fifth spot.

If he can improve his consistency, he can make an impact.
