Orioles - agreed to terms with Matt Albers and Cla Meredith LHP Randy
Rays - 1 yr contracts w/ Randy Choate and Lance Cormier. Agreed to 1 yr., $2.05MM deal with Grant Balfour, avoiding arbitration..
Braves - tendered offers to relievers Peter Moylan and Boone Logan.
Marlins - tender offers to Dan Uggla, Jorge Cantu, Ricky Nolasco, Cody Ross, Josh Johnson, Leo Nunez, and Renyel Pinto.
Diamondbacks - signed Blaine Boyer to 1 yr deal for $750K.
Cubs - offer contracts to Carlos Marmol, Ryan Theriot, Jeff Baker, Angel Guzman, Sean Marshall, Koyie Hill, Tom Gorzelanny, and Mike Fontenot.

I haven't seen any confirmation, but I assume the Cards tendered Schumaker and Ludwick, unless they've already signed for 2010.

There has been no announcement from the Cardinals that I can find.

Including Ludwick and Schumaker, who are arb eligible and unsigned, the Cardinals have a sizeable list of players who were with them at some time last year and are on the 40 man roster. This includes Colby Rasmus, Kyle McClellan, Brendan Ryan, Mitchell Boggs, David Freese, Jose Garcia, Blake Hawksworth, Jason Motte, Matt Pagnozzi, Nick Stavinoha, P. J. Walters, and Josh Kinney. They have a few more on their 40 man roster, also.

I don't see anyone whom I think they might non-tender, unless it would be Kinney, but I have been surprised before. I'm unsure whether Kinney is arbitration eligible.

Checking COTS, I see that Kinney is indeed arb-eligible, with more than 3 years ML service time. Of course, like Ankiel at a similar stage of his career, most of that service time has been spent on the major-league DL.

It is reported that the Blue Jays have signed John Buck, nontendered by the Royals, to a 1 yr deal for $2MM pending physical.

Lost in all of today's pitching hoopla from around the league are these two bits:

MLBTR learned from an industry source that the Pirates, Cardinals, and Astros have interest in Kelly Johnson

No fewer than eight suitors are known to have made contact with Matt Capps' agent, Paul Kinzer, including the Rangers, Rockies, Marlins, Cardinals, Cubs and Diamondbacks.

Neither is a surprise, but there seems to at least be indication of "official" interest.
